Due to complexity of estimating process, we can not and will not provide you with any estimate over the phone. The car must be present for any estimating process to begin.

No one plans or wants to be involved in a car accident. It's a stressful situation for anyone. For serious and quality repairs, you really need the shop as your advocate for quality.

You do not want to count on the insurance company to look out for your interests. Having the car inspected at our body shop, rather than at an insurance company’s drive-in appraisal center, allows the company’s adjuster to make a through inspection for hidden damage and allows us to make sure the insurance company pays for all work required to return your car to it's pre-accident condition.

I just had an accident, what should I do?

If your car is drivable simply drive in to Elite Auto Service & Auto Body, Inc.'s convenient location. We will assist you in making the insurance report, handle your claim in a professional manner and make arrangements for a rental car. You may leave your car to start the repair process or schedule the repair at your convenience.

If you already have made the insurance report and obtained the claim number or have an insurance company estimate, just drop off your car at Elite Auto Service & Auto Body, Inc. for repairs or you can take advantage of our convenient car pick-up and delivery service. We will continue the claims process for you and make arrangements for a rental car.
If your car is not drivable or, if you are not comfortable driving your car, call Elite Auto Service & Auto Body, Inc. for a 24 hour towing service. If your car has been towed from the accident site by an unknown towing company, or body shop, you may have fallen victim to "chase" practices.
Please call Elite Auto Service & Auto Body, Inc. as soon as possible and we will arrange to immediately retrieve your car.

Step Two

We can arrange for your car to be towed, will wait for you in the office or you may take advantage of our convenient personal pick-up service. After a through inspection for hidden damage, we will explain in detail, but in simple terms, what exactly needs to be done to your car.

We will take care of the entire process, taking you out of the equation while dealing with the insurance company. We will make sure the insurance company pays for work that needs to be done and we will give you a limited lifetime guarantee (as long as you own your car and it is not tranferrable) on your repairs. We will gladly answer all your questions and meet your concerns.

We personally guarantee your car will be restored to pre-accident condition.

Step Three (Insurance Claims)

Remember to always report an accident as soon as possible.

If your car has only minor damage and you are certain there are no structural or other safety related problems you might just follow the instructions of the responsible insurance company. However, due to the highly technical construction of most modern cars on the market even a minor fender bender will result in hidden damage. If there is even a possibility of more serious damage, bring the car to our body shop.

We will assist you in making the insurance report, handle your claim in a professional manner and make sure the insurance company pays for what needs to be done. If you’ve already made the insurance report and obtained the claim number or have an insurance company estimate, we will continue the claim process for you and make arrangements for a rental car.

Insurance companies vary on how they make payments. Please note that 1st class european authorized coachworks requires full payment upon return of your vehicle to you. It is you (the customer) who is responsible for any and all costs associated for the repair including the deductibles. Full payment must be paid after services are rendered.

For instance:
If the shop is a drp shop with the insurance company, they will pay us directly.

Supplement payments for repairs to hidden damages while the original repair is in process, as well as for additional parts might arise.

Betterment charges include payments for parts that wear out and need replacement with time and use, such as tires, batteries, and suspension parts. These betterment charges are determined by your insurance company and are pro-rated on your vehicle’s actual mileage. It is your responsibility to pay betterment charges at the time of delivery.

Your deductible is your responsibility and must be paid At time of delivery.

Deposits are usually required on specialty vehicles and special order parts. Your advisor can answer all your questions.

Certificate of Limited Lifetime Warranty

Elite Auto Service & Auto Body, Inc. offers a Limited Lifetime Warranty on all workmanship performed by us, as long as you own your car. Limited Lifetime Warranty is not tranferrable.

FAQ's

Must I obtain three estimates?
Generally, no. Unless your policy states otherwise, no one can tell you to obtain more than one estimate. You, as the car owner, may do so, should this be your desire.
I was told that I must take my car to a certain repair shop. Must I do this?
Generally, no. No one can force you to go to a certain repair shop unless your policy states otherwise.
What is the best procedure for me to get quality repairs and quickly get my vehicle back on the road?
Take your vehicle to a reputable repair shop. Leave it with the manager. Instruct the manager to contact your insurance company and advise them as to the damage. You should then call your insurance company and advise them of the vehicle's location.
I don't believe I was at fault in the accident. Should I use my own collision policy or try to collect from the other party?
Try to collect from the other party because you will not have to pay a deductible. Also, if you use the other person's policy, you may be entitled to a rental car while yours is being repaired, and no accident should be charged against your policy.
Who is responsible to the repair shop for my repair bill - the insurance company or me?
You are. You may direct your insurance company to pay the repair shop, but the payment must be in the hands of the repair agency when you pick up your vehicle. Keep in mind, you are the customer and the insured. The repair shop owner looks to you for payment and you look to the insurance company for payment.
Who is responsible for the safety, workmanship and guarantee of my auto repairs - insurance company or repair shop?
Generally, the repair shop is responsible.
I am sure that the other driver is at fault, but no one has made any effort to see to the repairs of my auto. What can I do?
You are the owner of the automobile. Only you have the legal right to make arrangements for the repair of your automobile, not the insurance company.
Do I have to take my vehicle to a drive-in claims service?
Generally, no. Unless your policy provides otherwise, it is not mandatory to take your vehicle to a drive-in claims service. Usually it will suffice for you to call your insurance company and tell them where the vehicle can be examined by a claims person.
If I go to a drive-in claims service, do I have to take the car to its preferred shop?
Generally, no. However, if you decide to take your car to the preferred shop, ask your insurance company to implement its "elects to repair" clause (check your insurance policy). This may cause the insurance company to be responsible for, among other things, the quality of repairs.
I am having a problem with the insurance company. Can the state insurance commissioner's office help me?
Perhaps, yes, but the commissioner's authority is limited! The commissioner's office in your state can describe the scope of authority for you.
Can the insurance company and service shop make an adjustment and start repair on the auto without the owner's consent?
Generally, no. You should be presented an estimate to know what is being repaired on your vehicle before repairs are made, unless your policy states otherwise.

A Final Word...

Most state laws make it unlawful for any person to operate any motor vehicle that is unsafe or has defective equipment. Insist on having your vehicle restored to its pre-accident condition. Do not be pressured into having repair work done by a specific shop simply because of lower price.

The owners of some repair shops have pledged their shops to a rigid code of ethics. This code is designed to protect you and your property.
